GLUTEN FREE SALMON CURRY RECIPE

There are many health benefits associated with this fish, it's rich in omega 3 fatty acids- which reduces inflammation, lower blood pressure and decreases risk factors for diseases, great protein source- our body requires protein to heal, protect bone health and prevent muscle loss, high in Vitamin B-which are needed for energy production, controlling inflammation and protecting heart and brain health, high in potassium-which helps control blood pressure and prevent excess fluid retention and many more.

Today I am sharing GLUTEN FREE SALMON CURRY RECIPE, it is a very simple recipe and can be made in less than 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • Salmon filet- 700 gms (cubed into 1 inch pieces)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste- 2 tbsp
  • Onion- 1 (Cubed)
  • Tomatoes- 2 (Chopped)
  • Water- 1 cup
  • Lemon- 1 (juice of 1 lemon)
  • Peanut butter- 2 tbsp
  • Gluten free soy sauce or fish sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
  • Red Chilli powder- 1 1/2 tbsp or less
  • Turmeric/Haldi powder- 1/2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
  • Cumin- 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon Stick- 1 medium
  • Black Pepper- 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt- To taste

Method-

  1. In a food processor, grind onions until you get a fine paste.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium, add cumin saute for a minute.
  3. Then, add Onion and ginger garlic paste, saute until onion turns translucent.
  4. Add red Chilli powder, Turmeric, coriander powder, cinnamon stick, Black pepper and salt and stir to avoid burning.
  5. Sauce while constantly stirring until mixture begins to become fragrant.
  6. Add water and mix well.
  7. Then add fish sauce/soy sauce, lemon juice, peanut butter, tomatoes and bring to a boil on low flame.
  8. Once it starts boiling add cubed fish, cover with a lid and let it cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes or until salmon is cooked.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot.
