Ingredients
- Green Garlic- 1/2 cup (roughly chopped)
- Green Tomatoes- 5 (finely chopped)
- Green Chilly- 2 (optional)
- Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida/Hing- Just a pinch
- Coriander/Dhaniya powder- 1 tbsp
- Turmeric/Haldi powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Dried mango/Amchur powder- 2 tbsp
- Honey- 3 to 4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder- 1/2 tbsp
- Oil- 2 tbsp
- Lemon Juice- 1 lemon
Method
- Grind chopped garlic, green chilli and tomatoes with 1 cup of water in a food processor to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida and saute until seeds start crackling.
- Add the Chutney paste and cook on high flame for 10-12 minutes.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric, amchur powder, salt and cook for a minute.
- Add black pepper, honey, lemon juice. Mix well. Cook for 5 mins.
- After 5 mins turn off the flame and let it cool at room temperature.
- Once the Chutney is cool, store it in an air tight container.
